… for the
tireless curiosity, openness and directness
of Indian people
… for the
huge diversity of mostly everything that has somehow found a way fit together
after all
… for the
breath-taking landscapes and the beauty of India’s nature
… for all
the day-to-day surprises and the impossibility to know what will happen the
next day
… for
highlighting the importance of flexibility, spontaneity, endurance and the ability
to improvise
… for the untiring
positive thinking and self-confidence of Indian people
… for the
creativity of Indian cuisine
… for the (even
though few) kind and honest Rickshaw drivers
… for not sparing
me regarding all problems of the daily “Indian Struggle”
… for the
endearing intensity of simply everything in this country
… for never
stopping to put challenges in front of one due to all the chaos and confusion
… for being
properly the most colourful and the most rubbished place at the same time
… for not
having any „fear of contact“ (and I mean that literally)
… for being
a country that gives you back exactly what you are willing to put in
… for
leading me to so many surprising and interesting places by making me lose my
way and hiding those places I originally intended to go to
… for the
brutal honesty and for not even trying
to cover up all the injustice and disparities
… for
making me learn so much without understanding anything
… for
finding a way to combine actual incompatible things
… for
forcing me to rethink all my prejudices about India on a regular basis
… for all
the wonderful people I was lucky to meet this year
… for
coming exactly at the right time
… for all
the new insights and the countless number of causes for thought
… for the impossibility
to state any generalization about India
… for so
many more things that will stay unmentioned at this point
Thank you
India,
I’ll be
missing you !!!
